Grüss Gott

to Weihenstephaner am Platzl!

A new meeting place in the heart of Munich for everyone who loves Bavarian hospitality, great food and good company: Weihenstephaner am Platzl is a new dining concept led by the Zinner family.

“I suppose it’s a real stroke of luck when you get the chance to enjoy a tasty beer and a proper roast.”

Ludwig Thoma, Bavarian writer

When Ludwig Thoma wrote these words, he had in mind exactly those places where Bavarian tavern culture remains authentic and alive to this day. Right in the heart of Munich’s picturesque Old Town, we combine these deep-rooted traditions with the cosmopolitan spirit of the city. At Weihenstephaner am Platzl, traditional craftsmanship meets a relaxed modern approach, local Bavarian specialities meet worldly cuisine, accompanied by beers from the Bavarian State Brewery Weihenstephan. A place for genuine Gemütlichkeit, where the Munich way of life unfolds with its own effortless sense of ease.

Here’s to good food, good beer and good times. An Guadn from your hosts, the Zinner family!

Servus from the Team

The Zinner family and the team at Weihenstephaner am Platzl

A new place to experience the Bavarian way of life. Munich’s traditional Wirtshaus culture meets a new generation of hosts: Weihenstephaner am Platzl, run by the Zinner family.

With their new restaurant, the Zinners want to create more than just another place to eat: their vision is a lively meeting place for locals and visitors alike. Whether for a relaxed meal, an after-work beer or a special occasion, Weihenstephaner am Platzl is a place to experience Bavarian hospitality and the Munich way of life.

As a family-run Wirtshaus, we stay true to our values and our roots. And what could be a better match than beer brewed with the same dedication by the world’s oldest brewery? Weihenstephaner reflects what drives us: respect for tradition, a love of natural ingredients and the joy of coming together.
